The Surgery is going live with Electronic Prescribing on the 16th March - please discuss with your usual PHARMACY/CHEMIST of how you can make use of this service & get to know the benefits of this service.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT ALL PRESCRIPTIONS ARE ABLE TO GO THROUGH ELECTRONICALLY THESE INCLUDE 'CONTROLLED DRUG' ITEMS.  THESE DRUGS STILL HAVE TO BE PRINTED AND COLLECTED EITHER IN PERSON OR FROM YOUR PHARMACIST.

You will be able will be able to have your prescriptions sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice.  This means that there will be no need for a paper prescription in the future if you choose this option.

THE SURGERY WILL BE CLOSED FOR TRAINING ON

THURS 26th MAY from 12.30pm-6pm

Staff training will take place on the 1st Weds of every month and the Surgery will close at 12.30pm and re-open at 2pm

Next closure at 12.30 will be on Weds 8th June 2016

Why Weight Service - Specialist multidisciplinary team dealing with weight management

To access these services please ask your GP, nurse or Reception team as a referral is needed

 

TELEPHONE TRIAGE SERVICE 

The practice has been running a telephone doctor and nurse triage service now since 2014.  Queuing up early in the morning will not necessarily guarantee you an appointment.  To run more efficiency you may be offered the triage service and telephoned back.

  • Telephone triage by experienced nurses and doctors - quick access to solving your medical queries
  • Early Morning surgeries - Thursdays 07:00 - 08:30am with a Senior Nurse or GP and Health Care Assistant  for bloods, BP checks
  • Joint injection clinics weekly
  • Family planning - including advice on contraception, coil insertions and implamons

   

EDUCATIONAL TRAINING

The practice supports educational training and has Medical Students from Brighton & Sussex Medical School which means sometimes we will have medical students sitting in to learn from our GPs and Nurses. 

Please do say if you do not wish a student to be present, any decision you make will not affect your treatment.  If you do consent to students, you may still ask the students to leave at any time should you change your mind.  If you have any concerns, please discuss these with a member of the practice team.
